Smeetie Team's (“Smeetie”, “we”, “us”, “our”, or “our”) Privacy Policy describes how and why we collect information when you use our services (the “Services”). “) Privacy Policy describes how and why we collect, store, use and/or share (“process”) your information when you use our services (“Services”).

This information is primarily used to maintain the security and operation of the Application, for troubleshooting, and for internal analysis and reporting.

2. What do we do with your information?

For the functionality and security required to provide the Services, for customer administration and for the performance of the services provided to you under our Terms of Use and any other contracts you enter into with us.

If you interact with other users of our Services through a social network (e.g., TikTok) and sign up for our Services, your contacts on the social network will see your name, profile picture, and description of your activities. Similarly, other users will be able to view your activity description, correspond with you on our Services, and view your profile.

4. Cross-border transfers

Please note that Smeetie is managed by Smeetie Team and as such, your data may be stored, processed, transferred and accessed between any other countries where Smeetie Team or its affiliates, subsidiaries, partners or service providers are located or have facilities.

You expressly consent and agree to such transfer, storage and/or processing of your information outside of your country of residence. However, we will process information from or about you, regardless of where it is stored, in accordance with this Policy and applicable law.


5. What do we do with your social logins?

If you choose to use a social media account to register or log in to our Services, we may have access to certain profile information about you. It may include your name, email address, friends list and avatar, as well as other information that you choose to make public on such social media platforms.

We have no control over, and are not responsible for, other uses of your personal information by your third-party social media provider. We recommend that you review their privacy policies to learn how they collect, use and share your personal information and how to set your privacy preferences on their websites and applications.


6. Data retention and deletion

We will retain your personal information only for as long as permitted by the legal basis and applicable law.

If you wish to delete your account, you can make a request in the following ways.

In-app request: You can go to Smeetie and click on “Settings” - “Account” - “Delete Account”.

Once your account has been successfully deleted, we will ensure that your account is no longer visible in Smeetie. We need 30 days to delete your personal information. If you log into your account within 30 days, your request will be considered canceled.

When your account is deleted, we will delete all of your Personal Information unless.

(1) for purposes of complying with applicable law: for example, your payment information. If you make purchases on the Smeetie website, we may retain certain personal data for tax and accounting purposes. If you wish to delete your information from a third party payment service provider, you should contact them directly.

(2) If there is an ongoing matter such as an unresolved issue, investigation, claim or dispute that needs to be resolved, we may need to retain the relevant information including, but not limited to, your phone number, email address and geographic information.

(3)Legitimate Business Interests:We may need to retain information in order to prevent fraud and enhance user security. For example, device IDs may be retained to prevent users who have been banned for unsafe behavior or security incidents from opening new accounts.

Please note that even if you remove certain information from your profile or delete your account, it is possible for others to view or access that information. This may be because the information was previously shared with others or may have been copied or stored by others. Unfortunately, we have no control over this and cannot be held responsible for any such incidents.


7. How do we protect the security of your information?

We have implemented appropriate and reasonable technical and organizational security measures designed to protect the security of any personal information we process. However, despite our security measures and efforts to protect the security of your information, no electronic transmission or information storage technology over the Internet can be guaranteed to be 100% secure, and therefore we cannot promise or guarantee that hackers, cybercriminals, or other unauthorized third parties will not breach our security and improperly collect, access, steal, or modify your information. While we will use our best efforts to protect your Personal Information, the transfer of Personal Information to or from our Services is at your own risk. You should only access the Services in a secure environment.

You can stop all information collection by uninstalling the application using your device's standard uninstall process. Please keep in mind that uninstalling the Application does not close your account. To close your account, please use the appropriate feature of the Service.

If you live in the European Economic Area and the United Kingdom, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the appropriate data protection authority if you are in doubt about how we are processing your personal information.


9. Changes to our privacy policy

We may modify or revise our Privacy Policy from time to time. Although we may notify you of material changes to this Privacy Policy, you should periodically check the most current version on our Website or Service for any changes, as these changes are binding on you.

If we make any changes to this Privacy Policy, the date of such changes will be reflected in the “Last Modified Date”. You agree to review this Privacy Policy periodically and to refresh the page in the process. You agree to indicate the date our Privacy Policy was last revised. If the “last modified” date has not changed from the date you last reviewed our Privacy Policy, then it has not changed.
